I don't stretch, but I exercise a lot. The combination doesn't mix and leads to a lot of sore muscles and painful joints. If you read my blog post about my 2016 fitness resolutions stretching more often and making it a regular part of my day is definitely on there! I wanted to create a video for you guys to follow along because I think we could all use a little downtime in our daily routines.
The morning stretches are designed to help wake you up and prepare for the day. They'll help you warm up those muscles that got stiff from sleeping in one position all night. Not to mention help break up any lactic acid (the thing that makes your muscles sore) that built up after a hard workout the night before.
Then the night time routine will help stretch you out after a long day of work. Sitting in a desk chair is the worst thing you can do to your body and I am chained to my chair almost all day! My goal is for these stretches to help calm my mind, relax my body and get me ready for bed! I might also add a downward dog, but we covered that in our last stretching video so we wanted to show you some new stuff this time around!
It's time to say goodbye to stiff muscles and not falling asleep because I was too lazy to stretch!
